privacy
last updated october 6, 2026
the short version: i collect as little as possible. i don't run ads or tracking analytics, and i never sell or share your details for marketing. if you want something deleted, email me and it's gone.
this site is run by jess, trading as standups & snacktime, a registered business in new south wales, australia. questions go to hello@standupsandsnacktime.com.
what i collect, and why
| when you… | i get | what it's for |
|---|---|---|
| join the email list | your email, the date, and which form you used | sending the newsletter. every email has an unsubscribe link. |
| send a note on the connect page | your name, email and message | writing back to you. it arrives in my inbox. |
| buy receipts | your name, email, what you bought and your country. i never see your card details. | delivering the guide, your license key and receipts, and sending the guide reminders you'd expect. |
| unlock the guide | your license key, plus a record of when it was last checked | keeping you signed in so you don't re-enter your key every time. |
| try to unlock or send a note | a scrambled version of your connection address, kept for an hour at most | stopping spam and bots. i can't turn it back into your address. |
cookies and storage
- sns_receipts: set only if you unlock the guide. it keeps you signed in for about a year.
- jess radio: remembers your last playlist pick in your own browser. it never comes to me.
- Spotify: the music player loads only when you open it, and Spotify's own privacy policy covers it from there.
that's it. no ad pixels and no tracking analytics.
who helps me run this
- Cloudflare hosts the site and stores list sign-ups and guide unlocks.
- MailerLite sends the newsletter.
- Lemon Squeezy handles checkout, payment, tax and license keys, as merchant of record. their privacy policy covers your payment details.
these companies may store data outside the country you live in, including in the US and the EU.
how long i keep it
list sign-ups stay until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them. i keep messages as long as the conversation is useful. purchase records are kept as long as tax law requires.
your choices
you can ask to see, correct or delete what i have about you at any time. email hello@standupsandsnacktime.com and i'll handle it within 30 days. if you're unhappy with how i've handled it, you can also complain to your local privacy regulator. in australia, that's the OAIC.
kids
this site is for adults. i don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.
changes
if this changes in a way that matters, i'll update the date above and tell the list.
